ERREK SUHR-VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Errek Suhr is entering his second season as the Cougars Varsity Assistant Coach.  Suhr is originally from Bloomington, Indiana, where he attended Bloomington High School North.  As a prep player, Suhr helped his teams to a Runner-up finish in 2000, a Final Four in 2001, and Sectional Championship in 2002.  Coach Suhr compiled a record of 90-10 over his four seasons with the Cougar Varsity.  Upon graduation, Suhr attended Indiana University, where he earned his degree in Secondary Education.  He also earned a scholarship to play for the IU men’s basketball team.  Coach Suhr is currently employed with AstraZeneca as a pharmaceuticals salesman.  He is also married to Rebekah (Ellsworth) Suhr.  The couple currently resides in Bloomington. 


KEVIN KOONTZ-JUNIOR VARSITY COACH
Coach Kevin Koontz is entering his fifth season at Bloomington North, and his twelfth overall. This will be his fourth season as the head coach of the Junior Varsity.  Before joining Bloomington North, he was the  7th grade coach at Jackson Creek Middle School  from 1998-2001, and the freshmen coach at Edgewood High School from 2002-2004.  Coach Koontz graduated from Bloomington High School South in 1995 where he played baseball.  He earned a degree in English from Indiana State University in 2006.  Koontz currently teaches language arts at Perry Meridian Middle School.  Coach Koontz and his wife Tania live in Spencer, Indiana with their two daughters Kenadee and Addison.



LANDON CARROLL-FRESHMEN COACH

Coach Landon Carroll is in his third season on the Cougar Basketball Staff, second year as the Freshmen Coach.  Coach Carroll grew up in Alexandria, Indiana where he stared on the basketball team for Alexandria Monroe High School.  Carroll is currently a senior at Indiana University seeking his degree in Elementary Education.  Coach Carroll joined the Cougar Basketball Program in 2006-2007 as a Freshmen Volunteer Assistant Coach.  In his second year he became the freshmen B team coach .  In his third year he took over as the Freshmen Head Coach, and will also be assisting with the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams.     



MATT LEVY-FRESHMEN ASSISTANT COACH

Coach Matt Levy began coaching basketball at BHSN in the 2007-2008 season as a volunteer assistant for the freshmen team. Before becoming a part of the Cougar Basketball Program, he was an assistant coach for the 8th Grade Boys Basketball team at Jackson Creek Middle School during the 2006-2007 season.  Coach Levy is originally from Los Angeles, California and graduated from Chaminade College Preparatory (West Hills, California) in 2005.  Coach Levy is currently a senior at Indiana University, majoring in Physical Education and Health.  For the past 5 years, Coach Levy has worked and coached at several basketball camps including UCLA’s Men's Basketball Camp, Pepperdine University Men's Basketball Camp, and Double Pump Inc. Camps. 


RYAN SIMMONS-FRESHMEN ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Ryan Simmons is in his first year with the Cougar Basketball program.  Coach Simmons has offered to assist with the freshmen team as a Volunteer Assistant Coach.  He is a native of Plainfield, Indiana and graduated from Avon High School in 2004. Coach Simmons attended Indiana University and graduated in May 2008 with a degree in Political Science.  He is now a graduate student with the Indiana University School of Education and is pursuing his teaching license and Master's Degree in Elementary Education.  Currently, he is in the classroom at Templeton Elementary working in a Kindergarten classroom.
